Just a couple of years ago, warehouse robotization for Crimean business looked like a story from the distant future or the lot of federal retail giants with billion-dollar budgets. It was believed that automation was a luxury that small and medium Crimean businesses could not afford. Today the situation has changed — and we are proving it on our own campus.
What we did
At the end of 2025, Tavrida Robotics launched a pilot project for warehouse robotization at our own production facility in Simferopol. We have a small warehouse — 800 m², 4 zones, 12,000 SKU. We deployed:
- 3 mobile robots (AGV) for moving goods between zones
- 1 robotic arm for picking from shelves
- 1 autonomous loading platform for trucks
- WMS (warehouse management system) integrated with all robots
The total investment was 6.5 million rubles. The pilot results for the first 6 months:
- Picking speed — 3.5 times faster than manual labor
- Picking accuracy — 99.7% (manual — 96–98%)
- Loading/unloading time — 2.5 times faster
- Working time — 20 hours per day (manual — 8 hours)
- Saved salary fund — about 800,000 rubles per month
Why we chose to start with ourselves
The Crimean warehouse automation market is small. Companies are cautious: “Will it work? Will it pay off?” We decided to test all solutions on ourselves, with our own money and our own risks. When we got the result, we can show it to clients — not slides, but a working warehouse.
Now the second quarter of 2026 is going. We are launching a service for Crimean warehouses: audit, design, implementation, service. We know exactly what works and what doesn’t — because we went through it ourselves.
What we offer
Audit of the warehouse. We come, analyze the processes, calculate the potential effect. Cost — 50,000 rubles, 3–5 days. After the audit — a report with specific recommendations.
Modular implementation. You can start with one zone or one operation: AGV for movement, robotic arm for picking, loading platform for trucks. The investment is gradual — 1.5–7 million rubles per module.
Integration with existing WMS. We work with 1C, SAP, Odoo, and custom systems. The robot becomes part of the existing process, not a separate island.
Service and training. All equipment is serviced from Simferopol. Spare parts in stock. We train your staff — after training they can reconfigure the system for new tasks on their own.
For whom this is suitable
- Distribution warehouses (from 500 m²)
- Production warehouses (raw materials, components, finished products)
- E-commerce warehouses (high turnover, accuracy requirements)
- Cold warehouses (where robots work in conditions uncomfortable for people)
What this gives the business
- Speed — robots work 2–3 times faster than people
- Accuracy — 99.5%+ (manual is rarely above 98%)
- Round-the-clock — without overtime pay
- Predictability — robots don’t get sick, don’t go on vacation, don’t quit
- Savings — payback on average 12–18 months
What we plan
In 2026–2027 we plan to implement warehouse robotics at 10+ Crimean enterprises. We are looking for partners: warehouses of food producers, building materials, agricultural products, e-commerce operators.
If you have a warehouse and are thinking about automation — write to us via our contact form. We will conduct an audit and show you how robotics will work specifically in your business.
